An AM Resorts insider says that Secrets Maroma will be ready to open this summer.

Terrah heard that Breezes Bahamas in Nassau just completed a 10 million dollar renovation.



A friend with Catalonia Resorts says that Catalonia Royal Tulum will become adults only in 2009.

Cathi and Philip had a wonderful stay at the new El Dorado Maroma in the Riviera Maya. While they spent most of their time relaxing at this one-of-a-kind resort, they did inspect some other resorts. The new Valentin Imperial Maya and the new Excellence Playa Mujeres impressed them.

Leah went on her first fam trip. She visited thirteen resorts in Cancun and the Mayan Riviera. Of all the resorts she saw, the Iberostar Grand(everyone keeps mentioning this one) and Secrets Capri were her favorites.

Barcelo Punta Cana Renovations Complete
The Barcelo Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic announces the completion of an extensive renovation to its public spaces, guest rooms, and outdoor recreation areas including the addition of a new pool, a new children's pool with slides and fountains, a new spa and a new theater facility. This $14 million dollar renovation project makes this beachfront, all-inclusive property a Premium level hotel within the Barcelo portfolio and upgrades the guest experience to a luxury resort level.

Guests can now enjoy a second large swimming pool and its adjacent children's play pool that is decorated with animals and water slides. In addition, there is a new Tex Mex restaurant, El Mirador, which is a Beach Front Grill with indoor and outdoor seating adjacent to the new swimming pool area. .

Barcelo Maya Palace Grand Opening
The new Barcelo Maya Palace Hotel is opened on December 24th in time for this year's holiday travelers. The hotel is the fifth property to be added at the renowned all-inclusive Barcelo Maya Beach Resort. The Barcelo Maya Palace is an all-suite property that features 756 junior guest suites, as well as honeymoon and presidential suites. The hotel's architecture is Moorish in influence and opens to the sea with large palazzos and patios. The new hotel includes three additional fine dining a la carte restaurants featuring French, Caribbean and a Brazilian style grill. In addition there are two buffet restaurants and a beach grill and pool bar, as well as a lobby bar.

Allegro Cozumel will close from January 12th to mid April.
